Dear Jack Doyle’s Family, We are saddened to say that we will be closing our doors. As you may have heard, bars & restaurants throughout the city will be closed for the foreseeable future. In this stressful and unfamiliar situation, it’s crucial that we take care of ourselves and each other. As of now our stance is this: People should still be going out to eat at restaurants Mayor Bill de Blasio said in a press conference emphasizing that the virus does not transmit through food and drink.... We encourage healthy people to keep going and supporting local bars and restaurants. If you’re not sick you should be going about your life - Mayor De Blasio. The health and safety of our patrons is our biggest concern. We always want to be a place of safety for everyone in our community. As such, we’re taking the following steps: Prevention: (Source: CDC) - Clean your hands often (soap & hand sanitizer will be provided) - Avoid touching your mouth - Wear gloves (we will provide if needed) - Avoid Close Physical contact - Stay home if you’re sick or have been exposed to someone with the virus. - Stay home if you are elderly or have respitory issues. - Cover coughs & sneezes - Wear face mask if you’re sick - Clean & disinfect often We have a social responsibility to take precautions and be vigilant - At the same time we have to continue to live our lives. We have informed our staff of all the necessary precautions we must take.
