Another set of government announcements and we have made some big decisions. For now we are closing Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We imagine we will open on those days again at some point but will keep you in the loop! For now we are open 11-10 Friday to Monday. Coffee, brunch, meat and cheese boards, cocktails and beers available. Roof terrace is excellent and heated in the winter.... Sunday no brunch but roasts 12-4:30. 2-4-1 cocktails all Sunday night! Pretty bleak custom for us in Wetherby tonight? So what do we do? Lie down and let the world gobble us up? Or do we keep fighting the good fight? We have been fighting hard for the past 7 months now and they are starting to test our resilience (even for a stubborn Iranian & Sicilian couple). But our time is no where near up. We have a 5 burger menu which we will just cover wages and stock. Well why would we do that? Well if means the venue is full of people spending money on... drinks then that’s a business model I can get behind at the moment! So it’s 8:30pm on a Sunday. Bars/Pubs/Restaurants are all sitting there wondering whether they need to do rotas, order stock, sort bookings, all operational pro...cedures for this coming week. And yet Boris Johnson and his government are letting everyone sit in limbo. Is the what we have come to accept as leadership? Is this what we now have to deal with along with all the other things Covid has brought? No. We won’t stand and be silent. We will have our voices heard. This government should be ashamed and held accountable #cancelthecurfew

Ey up regulars! 4 years since we first opened the doors at TF so I thought I would give you a little update of all things TF & Lazy Bird. We are trying figuring out how we make the next few months work for both our venues. Countless sleepless nights followed by early mornings (changing Ophelia's nappies) has given us plenty time to contemplate our strategies.... Tom Foolery *We are now taking Just Eat orders through our website for all our evening menus. *Fancy a trip to the deli & off license without leaving your home, no worries! 5 mile radius on all orders! *Huzzah- We had put up some sheeting on the terrace area to keep some of the rain and wind out. *We are adding another 25 seats in the basement which will only be available when the deli & off license is closed from 5pm! This should be available from this Saturday onwards. *The WIFI password has changed to:- weloveboris *Phil Cain Quiz is also on every Thursday! *Every team gets a free pizza on quiz nights! *Buy 1 Pizza & get 1 for a 1 on a Monday night *Buy 1 double gin and tonic every Wednesday night The Lazy Bird *Roof terrace is full heated and will be fully waterproof from Monday! *We have added another 20 seats over there- but we have made to get rid of the Italian deli Bocca to make space! What a shame- but these latest restrictions really hit us hard, therefore we had to make these decisive changes. *Sunday Lunch is back on the menu boys (and girls)- Served 12-5pm, we are offering a quality Sunday roast that includes a lush little cottage pie with it. We all know that the hospitality industry is getting a good kicking at the moment. But our regulars are helping us keep going and we all appreciate it massively. The independent bar scene is the soul of a community and we are super passionate about keeping the place as safe as possible for all of you and our staff! We all work here, we eat here with our families & drink here on our down time. Our success is built on you all so thank you for all the love over the past 4 years (where the heck has that gone).
