Meet the magical creature that is Drew! Please read and share his story!!!! I'd known about the venue long before I moved to Long Beach. In January 2019 I played my first Alex's Bar show, and got to know Brad. He was looking for help behind the bar and I was (more desperately than I'd usually admit) looking for work. I started by the end of the week. Since then Alex's has become home. It's completely whack that venues are taking a hit like this. If you were around Alex's Jan...uary-March 2020 for ANY SHOW you'd probably know that this was shaping up to be a pretty killer year. I miss the shows and the energy they bring.. Meet Veronica a woman of many talents. Please read and share her story; I was part of Alex's Bar long before I began working here. As a local musician, DJ, and friend, Alex’s has provided me with countless memories and opportunities. This is more than a bar or place of employment for me. It is where I’ve met some of my closest friends, where I’ve seen many legendary shows, and where I have been treated like family. These are strange times. I could never imagine a world witho...ut live music, but here we are. Everyone that works here is being affected. Musicians that make the bulk of their income through live shows and touring are also being affected. Our community deserves a chance to reopen safely. I hope that there is a solution to this soon because we have many more memories to make here. Besides, where else is Henry Rollins going to compliment me on my giant hand stamp?
