HALF WAY TO possibly ST. PATRICK'S DAY It is the Half Way point from a St. Patrick's Day that didn't happen and half way to a St. Patrick's Day we hope will happen. In honor of this, we would like to socially distance ourselves and create an event on September 19, 2020. We will call this event "Half Way To possibly St. Patrick's Day" This Saturday, September 19 starting at 1pm will will feature live music all day until last call at 10pm on our stage in the parking lot provi...ded by Matt Miller of Carl's Body Shop - THANK YOU MATT! 12-4pm Paul Cullen from Ireland - blend of Irish and American favorites. 4-7 Scott Houchens 7-11 Jameson's Folly with The Celtic Academy of Irish Dance We are providing live music with an attempt to support some local bands and musicians, and with your support, this event could be a success. Although we are not requiring a "cover charge" we will ask for donations for the musicians, and all proceeds will go to the artists. We also want to promote the new Oregon District "Out on 5th" featuring the new Designated Open Container District where you can buy a beer or cocktail from designated bars or restaurants and walk around 5th St with it. Also, 5th St in the Oregon District will be shut down to vehicle traffic. There is plenty of free parking available all around the pub (see attached pic). Don't forget to wear a mask, and last call is at 9:55. Also served all day, the new Liter of draft beer (33.8oz) or the BEAST of a draft (60oz) - great to enjoy all day or save it for last call - you have till 11pm to finish it!!! FREE PARKING - see attached - plenty of free parking in the DMHA building immediately adjacent to and South of Dublin Pub OUT ON 5TH more information https://www.downtowndayton.org/outon5th/ See more
Looking forward to a great night tonight with live music from White Knuckle Weekend. Another great outdoor concert, and located in the new DORA (Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area). The Oregon District is now closed down to vehicle traffic, and is now a district where you can grab a drink from any of the local bars or restaurants and walk down the street.
We are very excited that the Oregon District will be Dayton’s first DORA open container district as well as closing Fifth St to vehicle traffic and promoting an outdoor pedestrian promenade. Coming soon to you Labor Day weekend. https://www.dayton.com//oregon/2S22Z3M3QRFITGVPUAP5HSLQ5U/
This Friday, August 21, we are doing our first outdoor concert featuring VELVET CRUSH. Thanks to the city of Dayton, and allowing us to expand our patio footprint into our parking lot. We have created nearly 100 socially distant seats in a outdoor air environment. When: Friday, August 21 Start: 7pm till 11pm Cost: $5 all proceeds go to the band ... Please support your local artists Things to remember - last call for alcohol is at 9:45, we cannot serve drinks past 10pm - the kitchen will stay open till 11pm - Drink Specials include 1 liter (33.8 oz) beers - these are great for last call. - between 9pm and 10pm you can add a sidecar shot of Jameson, Tullamore Dew, Absolut, Fireball, or Skrewball for $3 - if you are bold enough, you can try our BEAST, 60oz glass of draft beer. *** Special thank you to Andy Rowe of Dayton Photography for the aerial images. See THE BEAST (named for the size, not because it’s from Milwaukee) ....The very first of all time - a 60oz Half & Half. Thanks to Bruce Knapp for being our first. We are not promoting drinking, but rather offering this as an option for the select few that take too long to get ready, and have forgotten about the 10pm last call. Because we are trying to be inclusive of everybody, and there are still a few people out there that still don’t know about the 10pm law - they show up and it’s 9:50, and we just made last call. Here they are, ready to drink three pints and then Uber home. Now we have THE BEAST, for that select few that forgot about 10pm last call and took too long to get ready.
MIND YOUR P’s &Q’s Starting today at the Dublin Pub you can get a pint of beer or a liter (33.8 ounces). Although some may consider it blasphemous to get a Guinness in anything other than 20oz gravity glass, this is a new option to order a big ass beer around 9:59 pm. Also between nine and 10 we are now including a Sidecar shot of Jameson, Absolut, Tullamore Dew, Skrewball, or Fireball for $3.00. - Drunk History Lesson - There are many variations of where the term mind y...our peas and cues came from. One, we like to believe is its origin is from the pubs and taverns of the 17th century. Bartenders would keep a watch on the alcohol consumption of the patrons; keeping an eye on the pints and quarts (32oz) that were consumed. As a reminder to the patrons, the bartender would recommend they "mind their Ps and Qs".This may also have been a reminder to bartenders not to confuse the two units, written as "p" and "q" on the tally slate. Here some great reasons to check out the new things happening at The Dublin Pub, while maintaining proper social distancing and having a hell of a good time. 1. Thanks to the City of Dayton, the Downtown Dayton Partnership and all others that made Pop up Patios a reality. We were able to add 80 seats to our outside - every table 10’ plus apart and plenty of room to relax, and enjoy great food and pints and live music on weekends. Plus remember Irish pubs were historical...ly designed for proper social distancing - snugs, partitions, booths etc. 2. Live music on weekends you say. We are using our safe outdoor space as best as we can. Every Friday Paul Cullen performs, he is from Ireland, loves American classic rock, country and of course Irish music. 8pm - 11pm Velvet Crush Unplugged, need we say more. 8pm - 11pm. 3. THE FOOD! we scaled back our original menu just slightly and focused on our most popular dishes. And amped up some of them as well. New fish and chips, new calamari strips, new monster grilled cheese with smoked beef brisket and quite a few other new items. https://www.dubpub.com/menu.html 4. Brunch is still on!! We have temporarily eliminated the buffet - until this craziness is over. But we have an awesome brunch menu that we featured every Sunday from 10 AM to 2 PM. https://www.dubpub.com/brunch.html 5. Check out our new online ordering if you do not wish to dine at the restaurant. so now you can order online and pick what time you want to pick your food up. We are still doing third-party deliveries but we ask that you use GrubHub over DoorDash as the fees are much less. ONLINE ORDER HERE: https://olo.spoton.com/5ebb0df09adef3a80c7a70ea 6. Hands-free Menus. Just walk in and scan our QR code that we have plastered all over their restaurant. This is a great option to increase your font size or make your menu as bright as you need to, all while reading it off of your own phone. We still do have single use menus we print up everyday can give to people that choose not to use their phones.
Chicken wings on the mind, check out our Guinness BBQ wings, Buffalo or Dublin Pub Honey Aleppo finishes with a dry rub seasoning.
